Birthday Buffet anyone?

For her birthday, Suzanna chose to take a couple of friends out to eat instead of having a big party. I was all for that (much less work for me!). And ever since her Aunt Cheryl's wedding luncheon last year, she has been in LOVE with buffets--so that's where we had to go. I'm pretty sure it's just the soft serve ice cream and toppings that excite her so much, because it can't be the food =)
We had a great time (if a little chaotic) at the restaurant, and we certainly drew some stares with six kids in tow. Then we headed back to our house for presents and cake. Only nobody was really in the mood for cake after all the food consumed at dinner. Surprise, surprise.... We sang and blew out candles anyway--what kind of party would it be without that?
Suzanna had a great time celebrating turning seven!

Looks like she had a great time. That's the way to do birthday's I think.

cute cake! For Sareny's birthday this year I took a few friends to a nail salon to get their nails painted--I'm all about simple too.

I think that sounds like a great kid party, they can get so massive. I might have to do that for Ema on her next birthday.

Happy Birthday Suzanna! (Love the name, BTW!:D) I can't believe she's SEVEN!! I was just talking to someone about how our first kids b-day parties use to be such a big deal, and stressful. Kinda funny how things change when we keep having more kids! I loved your idea!

Sounds like fun! We have done that for a few birthdays here too... I think it is great because traditional parties are way too much work and your house is destroyed afterwards!!

Happy Birthday Suzanna!

"All you can eat" sounds like a pretty good party to me!

My kids are in love with buffets too! They ask all the time to go to the "place where you can get all the food you want!" Birthday's are a great time...once a year!
