Well the cake was a flop ( I spent less than five minutes frosting and decorating because Ty was a LOT grouchy and since it was his birthday I thought I should probably spend time with him instead of creating a cake masterpiece), there were no guests besides our immediate family, and the decorations were not so exciting, BUT...
Tyler had a great time at his party on Saturday. He totally loved opening his gifts, yelling "I did it" every time he ripped part of the wrapping off. And blowing out the candles was way exciting for this two year old! He kept blowing long after the fire was gone, and still asks me to sing "Happy Birthday You" so he can blow out the candles again.
Thank goodness two-year-olds are easy to please!

That's such an adorable picture of him! Yeah, I don't think it's hard to make little kids happy on their birthday!
He is such a cute boy! :-) I love the 2nd birthday. They aren't quite sure what to expect and love every minute of it! :-) Happy Birthday Tyler!
Happy Birthday, Tyler! He's so cute! That's great that he keeps finding the candles so you'll sing to him again. :) Smart boy.
Very cute. I love all the pictures of your kids. They are adorable!
Gotta love the "terrific two's"! Your kids just can't take a bad pic! They are beautiful! It was fun seeing Phil last week. Hope we can see all of you soon!
Happy Birthday again Tyler. That really is a cute picture of him. Two is a fun time!
The Big Two! I read the first Crispin book. It liked it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Very fun! I'm not planning a big shebang for Riley either...maybe when she turns 3 :)
I totally agree about the cake thing--sometimes it's just not worth it and being a mom is more important! Looks like a lot of fun!
He is sooo cute!! Sounds like he had a good time... and that is what matters!!!
I can't believe he's two already! Time flies! I miss not seeing you in the new ward!(
