We left our pumpkin carving until the last minute (Friday after school) so that our pumpkins would be fresh for the ward trunk-or-treat party that night (since they are our only trunk decoration we have to at least make them as good as possible!). Anna was the only one to stay with me through the whole process, but Jonathan did pull some guts out =)

In our rush to leave, I thought I had forgotten our camera at home, so I didn't get any pictures of the fun party at the church. The kids loved all the games, popcorn, hot dogs and cotton candy. And trunk-or-treating was great! After missing the party last year and walking all over the neighborhood to hit the few houses handing out candy, I appreciate how fun and easy trunk-or-treating is. Then, just as we were about to leave, Phil found my camera. I really need to Velcro that thing to my hand or something!
The kids had fun helping me choose the designs, and Anna did a little of the cutting.
Here they are before the party. In case it's not obvious, Brendon was a pirate, Suzanna a Japanese girl, Jonathan was Harry Potter with some sweet homemade glasses since I lost the ones that came with the costume, and Ty was our little dinosaur.

very cute kids! i love the trunk or treat party!
I love all of their costumes. I'm glad you made it to the party this year. It looks like you all had a good time. If you find a way to always have your camera with me let me know I'm constantly forgeting it. I missed some really good stuff on Friday.
The kids look super cute as usual!
I am glad that you found your camera, even if it was at the end. I was thinking on the way home that I was going to take pics of your kids and the West's kids (she forgot her camera too) and of course I forgot. Got sidetracked by the cake walk! :) Your kids looked so cute and I love the pumpkins you carved!

They all look so cute. I love Halloween and seeing what everyone dresses up like! It looks like you guys had a really fun Halloween!
Their costumes turned out cute! I can't believe how tall your oldest son Brendan is. I never noticed before. Glad it was a successful Halloween!
